With the publicity this place gets, it is bound to be crowded whenever it is you plan on going. Keep that in mind, plan ahead, and you will enjoy the experience. If you go in thinking you will be seated right away, that you'll have a quiet dining experience, or that you'll get a blue plate special price, you will be disappointed. Food is Good Country Cooking, Service is exceptional considering the volume of people they serve each day, and the ambiance...it is in beautiful downtown Savannah. What more could you want? Look, it is one of those "tourist" things you just have to do while in Savannah...like Disney, it may be over-priced and crowded, but it makes for good memories at the end of your trip.

We ate the lunch buffet and it cost $18. I thought this was much, but I figured the food would be worth it. The "buffet" was the smallest buffet I have ever seen and the chicken was dry and tough. The mac and cheese was mushy, and the creamed corn was more cream than corn.We were told that dessert was included in the price.We were offered 1 choice of 3 very small desserts.We had a group of 20 people and they only had 1 waiter for us. He did a great job considering.They could get people in & out of there MUCH quicker if they had more workers. We had a reservation and we didnt get to sit at the same table. We had 4 tables for us. I would never go again or reccommend this to anyone. Not worth $18 for something I make better at home.

I had a lunch meeting with friends from South Carolina. They had to eat here due to the marketing of this restaurant. After a two hour wait, we were seated in a cramped corner table barely big enough to sit two people much less four. We all ordered the lunch buffet. Trust me, do not waste your time. This was the most overrated food I have ever eaten. The fried chicken was just plain old fried chicken. The cream corn was just plain old cream corn. etc., etc. I don't get the whole thing. Maybe I missed something here. This food was nothing that you could not get at Ryan's or Golden Corral. We paid over seventy five dollars for four people to eat fried chicken. The service was ok. I can't complain there. The Lady & Sons Restaurant surely fell short of my expectations. I would never, ever return. If you have money to burn, please visit this restaurant and please call me when you're done. I have some fried chicken and creamed corn I'd like to sell you for 15 dollars a head.
