I've been eating at the Colonnade for years and find the quality of its food and service to be consistently high. They offer a large varied menu of traditional southern fare with daily chef's specials. Our favorites include the prime rib, lamb shank, seafood (a wide variety grilled, baked or fried), southern fried or baked chicken, and a huge selection of vegetables, salads and deserts. Where else will you find tomato aspic and on the menu every day? A great bar, no smoking, cash only (there's an ATM on site). The customers are mostly adult. A favorite place for many older people because of its good, affordable fare. Gay friendly. It's in a neighborhood with some of Atlanta's finest restaurants, a number of antique stores, and, alas, a few "girlie clubs." Nevertheless, it is worth the trip. Highly recommended.
