Here is a copy e-mail sent to Yearling in May 2008 I have had NO RESPONSE!
Hi,
My wife and I had found your restaurant in the course of our trip from Jacksonville to Anna Maria Island on May 3rd. We enjoyed our lunch and the service was reasonably good. In consequence, when we were returning home the following week, we decided to stop by again.
We noticed a considerable number of vehicles outside when we arrived - around 12. 50 pm. We were seated quickly, but had to wait 5 or more minutes before the waitress came to take our order / offer drinks. At this point, neither the waitress nor any of the several staff nearby the entrance gave us any indication that we may have a delay in getting our meals.
After about 25 - 30 minutes, without any further interaction, I attracted our waitress' attention. I absolutely had to have some food as being diabetic I was starting to feel some serious problems developing. The waitress stated that there was no bread & butter, but there were crackers- which she brought assuring us that we should not have to wait too long for our meals.
At around 1.35 pm I asked a different person when we might expect our food, as we had by now been in the restaurant almost an hour. She promised to do what she could to help.
We finally got our food a little before 2 pm! The waitress offered a minimal apology for the delay.
Once we had finished our food - which incidentally was quite good - we got the check from the waitress after about 5 more minutes. When offering payment my wife, having had two glasses of wine in the course of the interminable wait asked "would you like to offer me a glass of wine by way of apology?" (since nobody had offered anything other than the minimal apology by the waitress). The cashier supposedly went to ask the manager, returned and said - "No!"
I then attempted to solicit at least a more substantive apology and was given another half-hearted apology.
This experience was totally unacceptable to both of us.
In the circumstances. I would appreciate any comments you may feel appropriate
Sincerely
Eric Ramshaw

Five friends, My wife and I and three neighbors went there in Thursday evening. We had heard good things about the place and looked forward to a pleasant evening. We started with drinks and found there was a limited selection but we found acceptable subs. The waitress was nice but very talkative. She took our orders and we had our drinks. The appetitizers were acceptable. Then we received our entrees. The Steaks were cooked to order but were found to have excessive amounts of garlic. The seafood platter was good but not exceptional. One of us did not receive his cold slaw until we alked for it.
Our waitress told us that she also had a large party in another room. She returned when we were done with our entrees, asked if anyone wanted coffee or dessert. We all declined except for one birthday guest who was treated to a dessert and a rendition of Happy Birthday. Our waitress then said that she would be back with our check. She never did come back and we had to go to the desk after waiting for nearly half an hour. When we did ask the lady at the desk said she would be right there. That took fifteen minutes. Needless to say we were not happy and all voted that we would not return.
