We all knew it would be pricey, but it was a very special occasion. I decided for the special that the server told us about. I had never had lobster any other way but broiled.
The dish was lobster stuffed ravioli with a special sauce. It looked like thick tomato soup with lumps of ravioli. It tasted like salty/sweet tomato soup and the taste of lobster was totally hidden. I pulled open the ravioli to pull out the lobster and it was tough and stringy.
Since it was 'the special,' I thought it would have been inexpensive. I got my check with gratuity already added and for a cola, coffee, and my dish it came to $35.77!!!
I will say that the server was excellent and very accomodating.
Even with this yucky eating experience, I may go back but I will make sure I get something on the menu rather than the "Special." It could be that this particular dish just wasn't my 'cup of tea' so I will order something I am more familiar with. The other 5 at the table seemed fine with theirs.
