My 11 yr old had tried pizza from Shaner's at a friends house and had ranted and raved abiut it for days. Shaner's is only two blocks away from home and I always thought it was more like a sports bar. The Pizza was extremely thin, crusty to perfection, (not soggy, not toasted) and very tasty. We ordered bacon, fresh tomatoes and garlic, it is the best pizza we have had in SRQ since moving from Boston 3 yrs ago, actually even better than any I had back there too!

We live in Palmetto & my son wanted pizza that evening. My son likes to surprise me, so he drove & drove & surprised himself by getting lost. We stopped for directions & finally got to this very fancy looking 'bar & grille' & I was surprised. We ordered garlic bread with cheese & dipping sauce. It was soft & very tasty. I even finished the sauce with my spoon. Then a large pizza with capacola, sausage, onions & green peppers & it was very thin crunchy crust. Best I've had since leaving Chicago 15 years ago. The toppings were spread perfectly & flavor was outstanding. They have quite an Italian menu to boot. I'm anxious to try all their other offerings, but it's definitely my new pizza place. Just great all around.
