    Bad Meal

    • Your Rating: 0/5 Stars

I have dined at Clara's quite often and normally have an okay meal. I recently took my mother and my 6 year old granddaughter there for lunch on a Saturday. My granddaughter's lunch was fine - she had pasta noodles with butter so you can't go to far wrong there. My mother had the quiche and it was so dry she could hardly eat it. I had the fish (2 pieces) and chips and my fish was so undercooked (the batter) that I had to scrap raw batter off my fish to eat just the fish. Both pieces were that way. It will be awhile before I return!

    Great Brunch Buffet on Sunday

Maybe we got lucky, but, I thought the food was really good. The sunday brunch is huge, and the food was really good. The waitress was kind of rude which is always annoying when you go out to eat. You could tell she did not want to be there. The aptmosphere is very unique and fun. I'll go back even if that rude waitress waits on us again.

    Get a new menu

Its a unique, fun atmosphere for a restaurant, but the fun stops with the food. The menu is large, but boring, and the food is bland and, for the most part, seems like they're just warming up some frozen meals.

If they got a better menu, this really would be a great restaurant.

    Awesome ambience, mediocre food

I love the atmosphere of Clara's. The building is beautiful and it has tons more personality than the corporate chains du jour at Eastwood "Towne" Center. But the menu at Clara's seems to focus on quantity over quality. They should cut their menu in half and focus on improving the quality of their food, which is almost always unremarkable and prepared with second-rate, processed ingredients. Lose the iceberg lettuce, fake whipped cream, freezer breadsticks, margarine, etc. and Clara's would be ten times better.
