The new folks cannot cook chicken. I have been served undercooked chicken, overcooked chicken, and spoiled chicken. Shut 'em down and get new owner/cook.
I am amazed that Chick Fillet on North Monroe is so busy when there is a Lindy's right next to it. Forget all the big chains, Lindy's is the place.
I Have enjoyed Lindy's Fried Chicken since I was a student at Cobb Middle School(1980). I used to ride my bicycle from Arbor Hills in Killearn to the Lindy's next to the Publix (now its a bank)about 3 miles just to get a filet with mayo and fries. I have since left Tallahassee in 1999. My Family still lives there and every time I come home I drive an extra exit, get off on North Monroe and get my Lindy's sandwich. My mom gets mad because I am full and not hungry for dinner. Its worth making mama mad, the sandwich is just that good. I will be in Tallahassee on dec 23rd. and I will drive the extra exit to Lindy's, eat my filet with mayo and fries drive home and once again make mama mad. I don't mean to Its not my fault.
When I moved to Tallahassee in 1973, the folks where I worked said that going to Lindy's Fried Chicken was a must. They were right. From then 'til now, they still have the same food (even though Ray, Jr's running it now). The "Filet" which is a fried chicken breast, cut off the bone and put on a bun with whatever you want (mine is Mayonnaise & lots of pickles) is the best sandwich I've ever had, tender & juicy. Chick Filet is a joke, compared to a Lindy's Filet. I pity you folks who don't live here. My son in OK has to have Lindy's Gizzards whenever he visits home. They offer them fried & steamed (they pressure cook them first and then serve them as is, e.g., 'steamed' or fry them after pressure cooking and call them fried). My husband loves them, too. They're too mushy for me, but lots of folks swear by them. Their "tenders" are great, too, with a choice of dipping sauces, but they cook them to order, about 6 minutes. THEY HAVE GREAT FRIED OKRA!! A Southern must. They've been the chicken go-to folks for over 30 years and are have been recently expanding to the out-lying areas. There's a reason! We love ya', keep up the good work.

Those wings are right on time. Always good service even when the cooks are messing up. The girls know the faces of their regular customers. The lemonaid is the best in town. I plan to eat Lindy's twice a week. I run away from home to Lindy's. Keep it up!! We love you.
