I have ordered food Togo twice there in the past two weeks and both times they got my order incorrect! Then after waiting for a half hour for this place sucks!!
After waiting over fifteen minutes for a drink, I observed the bartender using a glass to scoop her ice out the ice well (can cause internal bleeding if chipped) When brought to the attention of the manager, it seemed as if it were blown off, the bartender continued to use glass to scoop ice. There was a drink special on beer, and my friend had noticed her second cup of beer was significantly smaller than the previous (same price for both) The manager said it was only a few ounce difference and if she didn't like it she could leave! Needless to say we did, as the waitress' proceeded to make rude comments on our way out of the door.
I ordered a three meat sub with hot mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions, and banana peppers on wheat roll. The roll was old, stale and had green growing on it and I don't know what kind of pepper they were but they weren't banana peppers. There was one piece of ham, one piece of turkey and one piece of roast beef that did not cover the bad sub roll. This is NOT the Hobbit I knew and loved. Where did you go?
We have a group of regulars that have been eating several times a week at the Hobbit Hoagie south of town for a few years. The group mostly runs from 3-6 people each time. We figured that we have spent thousands of dollare there. We like to order at the counter and then sit down. Which, is the way it has work for years. Over the years they have tried to have us sit and order, but it never work for us or the general cliental. TODAY we guess the person was the new manager the same person that use to be the head cook ordered us to sit down and order. We told him we would order like normal. Several rude comments later. He said ok, but you will have to stand in the other line. We like to order at the counter and then sit down. Which, is the way it has work for years. The food for a quick lunch the combination meals (what we mostly order) runs close to ten dollars and with a tip it is to much for the our office crowd and the mostly blue collar groups. The Country at Southwood is cheaper and has good food and view. Our favorite place is no longer on or Lunch Bunch options.
