Tucked within a non-descript stripmall on Fletcher Avenue, Ho Ho Choy manages to give you a feeling that it belongs in Chinatown in a major city. Maybe it's the hand-lettered signs in Chinese. Or the duck sitting in a display cabinet. Or that sometimes there are more Asian faces in the restaurant than Caucasian. But mostly it's the great food - particularly the dim-sum and the Chinese specialties. Forget the standard watery Won-Ton soup and go for the Hong Kong Won-Ton: enough to feed the whole family with an intense chicken broth, bok choy and plump won-tons. Skip the standard egg roll and ask for the Shanghai style egg rolls: crispier and smaller than standard egg rolls, with more flavor packed into each bite. And if you want a noodle dish, order the Amoy style noodles: packed with a combination of chicken, meat and shrimp - and vegetables - served atop a bed of noodles flavored with a slightly sweet-and-tangy brown sauce.
