We have been eating at Dutch Valley for close to 20 years. The food is always consistantly good. The sevice is always good and we never wait for more than 15 minutes and when you go off season or between meals there is NO wait. I can afford to eat anywhere in Sarasota all the way up to 5 star restaurants and hotel dining rooms and when you come down to value for the dollar Dutch Valley beats them all, hands down! When you see an owner at the front door of a high volume eating establishment, that's a good sign, because if there's a problem it is rectified right there and then no questions.Service is prompt and quality is always fresh because of the high volume of business they do. Most everyone goes home with a bag of food for another meal or snack. Oh, and an other thing, there open every day of the year. This year for Thanksgiving we went to The Hyatt downtown. On my way home I stopped into the Dutch Valley and had to take a meal home because I was still hungry. I paid half the price and I couldn't finish the meal. Beleive me you will not be dissapointed. Certainly with the cost of goods and shortage of spendable cash it makes sense to try Dutch Valley. Try the Greek Fahitas, Greek salad with grilled checken or any one of the daily specials (they change them every day See you there!
This is my favorite casual restauant. Even in season, you can usually get a seat, so I hesitate to tell everybody about how great it is. It has a very friendly and obliging staff, the service is quick, and the food is fantastic--especially the amounts. They start out everyone with a cup of delicious homemade soup, then a normal salad and white rolls, dark rolls, and garlic bread. The meals come next and everyone needs a "doggie bag" because they are so big. Afterwards, for most items, dessert is included. I had to ask for that "to go" too because I couldn't eat any more--and I love to eat. The price for this enormous feast was around $10. A family restaurant at the top of the list!!
My husband and I eat frequently at Dutch Valley because of the great food, great service, great price and friendly atmosphere. Fernando and Renee make you feel like family and they pass their own good feelings down to their staff who, in turn, pass it on to the customers. Breakfast is great and can be ordered at any time of the time. Best prime rib for the money and great soups. Rice pudding like mother use to make.
Dutch Valley has been a part of our routine for 8 years. We would visit around three times a week and enjoy strawberry toppped waffles or mouth watering Prime Rib. We haven't been going as much since we moved farther away, but whenever we get the chance we go in for a bite. The waitresses are all great ladies and one of them is always laughing and cutting up with everyone. This creates a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The menu is not fancy and the prices are about what you pay at other family establishments, but you are always guaranteed good food and terrific service whenever you visit.
