Go here. It is the best place for those who love spicy, those who lose peanut flavors, or those who love balanced and delicious flavors. This is great food.
My friend took me here, and ordered for me, chicken pad tai, it was my first experience with thai food in a very long time and it was impresive. when i first saw it it didnt do much for me, but once i tried it i was hooked. im going back today!! haha
Well, what can I say...Asian food is my favorite. I will have to say that Taste of Thai has always been the place for thai food for me (at least once a week). The dishes that you have to try are PAD THAI and KAENG KAI. Then you will be hooked!!!
dont let the dreary restaurant fool you. the joint may look terrible but it is good food with a good price, staff is awesome. The staff is one big family from Asia, Thailand I assume, so they actually now how to make Thai food. Chicken pad thai and won ton soup is all you need to order.
If you are looking for tasty food at an awesome price, don't want to wait around for service, and don't mind a quiet/empty restaurant then this place is for you -- the silence is a little weird but the pad thai is worth it. The staff is friendly too, very polite.
I get food(pad thai or pad pak usually) here all the time. I've introduced it to coworkers who are now equally addicted! It's family owned and operated, and they are the NICEST folks around! great price, great food, great deal.
gots to love it. Will keep trying to convert more to the fantastic blend of flavors that exemplifies thai food.. and this place in particular.
I go here for lunch and usually take out. The variety on the menu is not very big, however what they do have is good food. The portions, however, are rather small, at least to what I'm used to at Thai Kitchen, and I would say the value is not as good as Thai Kitchen. The noodles here are better though, and overall I would rate these restaurants about equally.
I had high hopes for this place, but did not find the ingredients as fresh as Thai Kitchen (which I only think is ok.) Nice people, but the food was disappointing. We had two appetizers that were both over-fried and a sweet and sour chicken that was very bland. Since the restaurant is not a very attractive place, you would expect the effort to go into the food. Not so. I will not be eating at this place again.
you cant find better thai food in east lansing... its so good i eat it like once a week! i almost always get carry out so i dont know what eating there is like... the people are always nice at the desk! i would reccomend this place to anyone and everyone!
Having eaten at most, if not all, of the Thai restaurants in town, Taste of Thai is easily the best. Delicious food, generous portions, reasonable prices...it can't be beat. I've eaten in as well and the food and service are just as good; unfortunately, the dingy, run-down atmosphere detracts from the experience slightly. A new location would do wonders for their business.
I love thai food and have eaten it around the world, from Bangkok to London to Hawaii to Chicago to East Lansing. Taste of Thai has a great menu, some of the friendliest staff and a great value. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants a great meal.
I visited this restaurant the day after I ate at Bangkok House. The food was better, the atmosphere pleasant (no smoking!), and the service friendly. The Tom Ka (soup) was really nice, but everything in the "sauteed" section appeared to come in a brown gravy that seemed more Chinese than Thai to me. Typically, Thai sautees and curries are light and almost broth-like. I wonder if this is the "Michigan" version of Thai food. The Pad Thai at the table next to me looked good, and I'm planning to give this restaurant another try when I'm in town again.
yummy in my tummy!! its so good me and my roommates love it and order it all the time
