Spur of the moment decieded to try Volare of wixom and it was amazing. we were given a private booth. Amazing candleit atmosphere, quite and romantic. The waiter was amazing, the empty plates didnt have time to touch the table before he removed them. Very elegant. I have the gnocci being italian it tasted just like nonnas, my fiance had the seafood linguine and it was superb. fresh seafood, and amazing pasta. HUGE portion. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.
AMAZING, would def. return.
I had a veal chop and a side of pasta with meat sauce. The food was outstanding. I have gone to a great many Italian restaurants all over the world, including Italy, and this is one of the very best. I give it five stars out of five. The best.
We saw this restaurant from a bakery across the street in Wixom. They were very busy on the weekends, so we went Saturday at 5:00. It was excellent. We started with fresh bread with oil,(Parmesan and Basil upon request). My wife had a "Veal Scaloppine-Saltimbocca" with a wonderful rich sauce and came with a side of spaghetti with the best meat sauce I've ever tasted. I had "Maiale Double Cut Berkshire “Black Pig” Loin Chop, Vincotto". The service was very professional, attentive, but friendly and knowledgeable. A different menu with some pricy entrees', but worth every cent. We'll go back. The decor very upscale but comfortable. A wonderful dining experience!
If you are looking for fresh Italian food this is a wonderful place, not your ordinary chain restaurant food. The vegetables are the freshest available and if you want something that is not on the menu the chefs are happy to accomodate your tastes. I have never had a bad meal at Volare. If you are looking for the best filet in town you will find it here. A prior review added that plain olive oil was put on the table, that is because so many people complain when something is put in the oil, they will put fresh parmesan cheese, fresh basil, fresh tomatoes in it...all you have to do is ask. They are very accomodating!
Four of us dined at Volare Restaurant in Wixom and it was the worst dining experience that 3 of us have ever had. The service was extremely slow, and the food was terrible for three of us. The only one of us who liked their food was the one who ordered chicken parmesan. No side dish of pasta came with it, however, unlike every other Italian restaurant I've ever dined at. Also, all the sauces are tomato based even for seafood - no creamy white sauces. My food was so gross I couldn't eat it. When we complained, the manager was very rude. They put a bottle of olive oil on the table for dipping bread (which was very dry and hard), but no seasoning was put into the oil. We were told to salt and pepper it ourselves and I've never seen that happen before. Needless to say, we will never go back. We wasted our money and the prices aren't cheap.
