  We ate here recently after my Dad came to visit and requested Mexican food. This is pretty close and we hadn't been in probably 6 months. This used to be our "go to place" for Mexican food when we were introduced to the Ahwatukee location many years ago, then found this location close to our home.
  
  But for the past two years I have noticed the service and food quality declining. It's one of those deals where you walk out and say "I don't really care for this place anymore" then several months elapse and you forget about it and find yourself there again.
  
  This past visit, when the waitress misplaced my credit card and didn't find it an urgent matter, I decided to stop rewarding them with my dollar vote. We did find my card after it mysteriously showed up on the counter after we had already searched through the table, the check folders and wait station.
  
  This was not the only bad experience - previous instances found slow service, mistakes on our order and COLD (as in not reheated correctly) food. And as I said, the food has changed a bit over the years.
  
  The food is good and is a good value compared to other family style Mexican restaurants in the Valley. And the location is pretty good too - plenty of parking and it's nice to sit on the patio when the weather permits.
  
  The food would still be acceptable if the service was better. Too bad, because the one thing the Valley needs is a good Mexican restaurant (as hard to believe as that is).

  I am a local businessman who brings clients for lunch, caters for small groups, and on occasion we have had a fucntion at the restaurant. I have always been satisfied with the quality and personnel. The prices are competitive and the staff is prompt and friendly. The patio is a plus when the heat Arizona heat breaks. Ole'
