I've been eating Tao Tao's food for decades (I've lived in Sunnyvale since 1946). The dishes served today are all wonderful. I'm not into exciting Chinese food, but I do love the traditional dishes, like: Tao Tao Special Chow Mein, Wor Won Ton Soup, Pork Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Pork, Hot and Sour Soup (it's medicine when you're congested), Fried Prawns. I can count on these savory dishes to be consistently the same quality all the time. I don't like surprises. As the web information says, it is more of an American Chinese food restaurant, but when I dine in they are always busy and have people waiting to be seated. I guess that's the sign of a good restaurant, too.
