Salvatore's is a cozy, authentic restaraunt located in the heart of Hoover. The owner, Sal, is as italian as they come and his food proves it. With flavor and texture to rival the best pizzarias in New York, Salvatore's definitly recieves a 10 for food. The manager, Walter, remember's names and faces. He definitly takes his position to heart and enjoys his work. A native of New York, The Bronx if memory serves, Walter knows Italian food. When he tells you that it's the best anywhere, you can take that to the bank. With service like that, what other score can they be given but a 10. The restaraunt is small and cozy. There is always sports of some kind on the TVs. It can be a little loud, but hey, loud means fun. Not the spot for a romantic date, but definitly the spot if you want to impress her with quality. Priced reasonably at around 12.00 a person + desert, You won't break the bank and you won't leave hungry. So the next time you are in Hoover, stop in and tell Walter that Craig sent you. It won't get you a discount, and it won't get you extra special treatment, but hey at least he'll know that his food is worth talking about!
We regularly dine at Salvatore's. We usually order cheese/pepperoni pizza and salads. They are both wonderful. They have a fantastic balsamic salad dressing. There seems to be an improvement to their facilities every time we go. The only problem we've ever had is finding a table -- they tend to get crowded.
" a place to enjoy a cool afternoon or evening sitting outside with your friends having a pizza very... "
