We loved this place. The food was excellent and authentic Italian. My husband was born in Italy and we know Italian food. Good service, nice atmoshere.
Pomodoro's is my new favorite Italian restaurant. The food was wonderful, the service was great, and the atmosphere delightful.
my friends and i get together at pomodoros at least once a month at least we used to.the place is going downhill fast.we were told there is a new part owner when we complained about the food changes.eggplant was horrible, were told it is now frozen, sauces do not taste the same.service was lacking, our server was more intent on watching sports at the bar rather than checking on us.we will not go back, ther are too many other places to spendour money.
The food was very much to our liking. We were a party of four. We stay in a Surfside Beach home for the month of April. This is our third year. Our friends, who accompanied us, have been doing this for 14 years. We four had a good time.
Jessica treated us well. She is congeniel. She, most importantly, is a good server.
Our meals were unique and done very well. We enjoyed the excellent flavors of the respective meals.

The food was tastless an lacking anything Italian. It tasted like it was frozen and microwaved. Surely not an Italian cook. The place itself was noisy like a cafeteria. This is one place that you wouldn't bring a loved one to. I couldn't wait for the night to end. Service just OK.
My father, stepmother and I heard about Pomodoro's Italian restaurant in Myrtle Beach and opted to dine there after reading some of the reviews. While the cuisine was authentic and savory, the service was lacking, essentially in the area of profesisonalism. The waiter spilled an entire glass of wine on my father and, although apologetic, failed to meet the standards of etiquette expected at a restaurant with such seemingly high standards (and prices). He didn't offer a free appetizer or meal for the spilled wine, in fact, he even charged us for the spilled glass itself!
Furthermore, the staff found it necessary to start closing up the establishment in the middle of our meal (mopping and seeping the table immediatley to the right of ours, etc.)
To sum up the experience...quality cuisine, subpar service. One more note, prices are a bit pricy for the quantity served.
My husband, aunt, uncle and I had a marvelous meal there. The servicer was very attentive and the food was to die for. After the bread and roasted garlic, in two different oils, we had appetizers of calamari and bruchetta. The calamari was as light and tender as any I’ve ever had and the bruchetta was also excellent. My aunt and I both had pasta fagioli. It is as good as my Italian father makes. The pasta was a perfect al dente, something I’m fanatical about. For dinner I had a pasta, eggplant and sausage dish that was excellent. My husband had the chicken parmegiana with a side of spaghetti which was also very good. My uncle polished off a tilapia over polenta. He just raved about everything. It’s nice to be in a family-run restaurant where the owner truly takes pride in his business. By the end of dinner I was so full I thought I wouldn’t be able to walk. The amount of food for the money is amazing. But it’s not just about quantity. The food truly was delicious, and this comes from an Italian!!! We will definitely make the trip up again from Mt. Pleasant.
Pomodoro's serves excellent Italian food in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. They had a wide variety and seemed authentic to me, although I have not traveled widely. We had a group with a wide variety of tastes, including a young child, picky teenagers, middle aged people, and senior citizens. Everyone found something that was pleasing and filling. The waiter was friendly and available but not pushy. I plan to return every time I am in Myrtle Beach.
Dining at Pomodora's was like stepping into a Trattorio in Tuscany the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was authentic italian. The Tuscan E Salsissce which was a spicy italian sausage appetizer was delicious and the cannelloni was outstanding. There was also a great selections of wines to choose from. This will be a place that I return to often
We had just gotten into town and a friend happened to be going there for drinks so me and my wife decided to join her. Upon arriving we were promptly greeted at the door and walked not pointed to the bar which I could have cared less but my wife thought it was the greatest thing ever. What impressed me was my appetizer of tomato/mozzarella that the bartender said was made right there in the restaurant, I mean who the heck even does that any more I thought it was done by a machine these days. It was fantastic, also the place was very lively a buss el everywhere but not to overly crowded elbow to elbow. My entree arrived and it was beautiful, one of the best looking steaks I had ever seen in my life I almost cried if I hadn't been so hungry from the trip, God it was so nice of a change from the freaking Outback We will defiantly be back
Strange buzz about, Sorry to hear about your carbonara mine was Great...I've lived in Myrtle Beach all my LIFE and every place looks like a cavern in the middle of winter but judging by yor review you two kinda disparage the place with the same angry review it's funny that you even miss spell the same words.... God I had the Pork Chop there It was soooo good to big though my poor little belly almost exploded aw my gawd that rosemary fennel demi-glace was great as for the Bruschetta I think the tomato is my favorite, and I'm kinda glad it isn't hot wouldn't that make it tomato sauce????

I’ve eaten there 4 maybe 5 times and the food has always been very good, I also consider myself a bit of a foodie also very Sicilian by my grandparents 100% I have had there bruschetta and I along with any self respecting Italian!! Know that you never eat caponata hot it is always served cold. Furthermore I’ve never even herd of adding an appetizer to your meal and the restaurant deducting or discounting it maybe at McDonalds which as far as I’m concerned you should probably stay at with your happy meals and such. I also feel at this point maybe a little Gastronomic education would suffice to cleanse your more than dollar-motivated palate. Ambiance. n. The overall look and feel of a restaurant, hotel, destination, or the mood or atmosphere it creates. For your future use...

Had dinner on February 15. second time in the restaurant.
Both times the place was empty lacking any kind of ambiance. This time the service was bad; the food was bad; and the bill was wrong.
Appetizer of bruschetti was ice cold as if just out of the freezer.
Carbonara was dry, no trace of the white sauce.
Bread and garlic was served after the appetizer.
The waitress told us that there was a $3 upcharge for tomatos and mozzarella as the mozzarella was very expensive. The bill showed the full cost, not the upcharge.
In any case... Never again.

The service was bad. The waitress had to read the specials from a card and misrepresented the upcharge for the mozeralla appetizer.
The bruschtti came straight our of the fridge and were ice cold.
The carbonara was dry.
The bread and garlic was served after the appetizers.
The place looked like a cavern with only about 2 tables occupied.
I have lived and eaten all over the world. This was a bad deal.

While visiting my parents in-law, who live in the Myrtle Beach area, we heard about Pomodoro's and how much they enjoyed it, but we were a bit reluctant to try it since there weren't many reviews. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was wonderful - I had the eggplant lasagne and my husband tried the cannelloni. His parents always enjoy the pork dishes too. I know we will be back next time we're in town - who can pass up the whole roasted garlic that accompanies their fresh bread!

The BEST Italian in Myrtle Beach S.C., defiantly! Upon our visit our server,Shannon greeted us did a great job guiding us through our meal and even helped us decide our wine. The Chef, Sean Thomas is excellent at his craft and an asset to the tired myrtle beach scene of corporate restaurants.
My husband and I started with the Tomato Mozzarella salad and it was just beautiful fresh everything you would expect fresh basil, ripe tomato and some of the best mozzarella cheese ever. Then for our entrees Jack had the Chicken Maria I myself ordered the special, Salmon Saltimbocca it came over some of the creamiest risotto ever. For dessert we split the Tiramisu, and let me say I have been here three years and haven’t tasted anything that good since NY.
Pomodoro’s my hat is off to you, thanks for a very special night, we look forward to the wine dinner that your bartender talked about in January..
