What an amazing place to dine and talk!

The food was fabulous! Artichoke hearts that just melt in your mouth, delicious pasta and salmon that was beautifully and artistically presented with amazing flavor.
The serving staff was attentive and willing to accept long wait times from us between ordering appetizers & dinner. This is a true gem for Ferndale!

    Get New Morning Wait Staff!!

What can I say? The heading really says it all. The waitress was completely preoccupied with her cel phone. Our food was marginal at best. I have heard that the evening wait staff is better so maybe I will try then but PLEASE don't expect great service in the morning. You will not get it from any of the three waitresses that we experienced. None of them were properly trained in wait service. All were harsh and abrupt.

The word is out on Petes Place

I love this place. I have taken many people here to eat and everyone just loves the food and wait staff. I'm currently stuck on the French Dip, asolutely fabulous. They don't need to advertise, word of mouth has made this place a hit. The past two Saturday nights I drove by and the place was packed (one night at 9pm, the next Sat.8pm) It will continue to be at the top of my list of great places to eat.

My family went there and really enjoyed the service. The food was great and cannot find anything negative to say. One great thing was they brought our young daughters food out early, with out us asking, no other place has done that. I would recommend for families or just a nice dinner out with your signifigant other.

I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at pete's place. I have had a wonderful experience every time I have dined here. my service has always been wonderful and pleasant. I have had several young men wait on me in the evening and they have been great!! During breakfast and lunch I have had the same young women wait on me several times and she has given me great service and works very hard to make sure all customers are happy and everything goes well at pete's place. I will send everyone I know to dine here.

I've eaten at Pete's Place several times, both breakfast and dinner.

The food on all occasions has been well above average. Many dishes have a unique twist on classics. I had a delicious Beef Stroganoff for dinner one evening that had more of an Italian flare rather than the traditional flavors of tarragon. Another favorite was a tasty twist on a benedict for brunch one day, with both a hollandaise and a mushroom sauce. (I don't remember the name of it, but I'll never forget the great flavors.)

The service has always been good, and sometimes very good. At breakfast, the waitstaff was efficient and attentive. At dinner the mood was more professional, and the waitstaff seemed more seasoned. On all occasions they were very nice and at times fun.

I definitely would recommend Pete's Place for a quick bite or a relaxing dinner.

Very Nice Place to Dine, Great Food

We met with friends for dinner. The food was exceptional, the chocolate Volcano was delicious. Everyone's dinner was prefect. The service was friendly as well as extraordinary. The young man who served us knew how to treat a customer with class. Nothing was too much to ask for. Pricing was very reasonable especially for the degree of service and the top notch quality of the food. I love going to those out of the way places. I would highly recommend Pete’s Place as a place that you should definitely meet friends for dinner. The overall dining experience and atmosphere far exceeded my expectations.

    Best Place Around

First of all, I agree and disagree with the "lacking service" comments. I've dined in this restaurant several times. On Monday night, I had a fine waitress who did her job well, but was quite forceful and semi-harsh. Having said that I dined in last night around 7pm during what I assumed to be the dinner rush, and the two young men did a fantastic job. My server looked very young but was a very great and experienced waiter. He went out of his way to make sure my dinner was enjoyable. If the rest of the wait staff worked as efficiently and with as much joy as the two men did last night, they could be great waiters and waitresses.

Secondly, the food is to die for. You can find something to enjoy at any time of the day. The omelets are so refreshing, the paninis are cooked just right, and the variations of pasta are great to choose from. My personal favorite for dinner is the Fettucini Alfredo. I don't know what it is about the dish, but it really is the best I've had in years. Thank you to Pete!

And finally, the atmosphere is so relaxing. The "Broadway" theme is such a simple and fun idea! It's not over-the-top. It's chic and just right for Ferndale.

    10s all around.

    Quaint & Trendy Ferndale Oasis

A friend and I ate at Pete's Place earlier today for lunch. I ordered the salmon salad and was pleasantly surprised! The salad was EXTREMELY fresh and the salmon was seasoned PERFECTLY. I agree with other reviews that the waitstaff is a bit lacking, but that will come around in due time. Still, I very much recommend this small restaurant for it's food alone!

We dined at Pete's Place this morning - the food was great and so is the atmosphere. We will make this a place to come at least 2-3 times a month. It is not far from downtown Ferndale - but a little out of the way. Lots of parking. I think it would be nice if they advertise a little more - so people will know where they are.

    Pete's Place Feedback

Wonderful dining experience. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced. The Rhubarb Pie is to die for!! You are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine with the meal. The service is overall very good, but some of the wait staff need a little bit more training to bring the place up to exellent. There is enough room that perhaps an outdoor patio could be added later

    Nice Place

It is so good to see local entrepreneurs investing in local community. They have transformed a run-down, closed coney on an est side of Ferndale into a very nice venue . Food is good with a surprisingly large selection for such a small place. I hope they will stay awhile. I highly recommend Pete's Place.
