We walked in without a reservation and were seated right away by the most pleasant hostess we have ever encountered. A plate of Nicoise olives arrived right away while we looked over the menu and wine list. I had the Gravlax, and my husband had the Endive and Goat cheese salad. Both were outstanding.... We than had the Duck with a part wine sauce, and it came with both the breast AND confit with the most delicious potato, spinach and bacon garnish. My husband had the Black sea bass which was cooked with tomato, capers and black olives, over braised leeks.
For dessert we shared the Creme Brulee which was cooked to perfection. Smooth and silky on the outside, with the caramelized crust just perfect. The wine we had was from Provence, and was a reasonable $32. The service was friendly, and the room very comfortable. Overall it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time, and would highly recommend this bistro to anyone that asks.
