This venerable restaurant is one of the better in the area, with an imaginative authentic Italian chef, comfortable ambiance, good service, and interesting seasonal events.
My meal started perfectly with a delicious seafood bisque but was followed by an overcooked veal scaloppine made rather too salty by the accompanying prosciutto; two others in our group found the bracciole to be perfect, however. But beware of mini desserts, e.g., the cheesecake serving, at maxi prices.
Just recently had a very romantic dinner with my husband on Paesano's patio. Wow! Who would have known they have the best patio in Ann Arbor! I didn't even know they had one. It is rustic and full of unique beautiful flowers. There is also a peaceful fountain and italian music in the background. The food and service was brilliant also. I think I have found my new favorite spot. Oh, and the Sangria is to die for.
" the deserts are as rich as the owners, no small feat... "
