My steak as overcooked so I sent it back. When the brought another one out it was better but now a bit undercooked. Service was OK but the manager and server wanted to watch as I cut into the replacement steak and have me verify it was acceptable; it made me uncomfortable and did not contribute to a pleasant meal. I can cook a much better steak at home. Considering the price of their meals I was not impressed by the ambiance (or food) at all; wooden benches and unattractive decor. Absolutely no reason to return.

I ate recently at Outback Steakhouse, Okemos MI. I sat at the bar. Service at the bar is great. Service at the tables, based on past experience, is a bit under-attentive (which is typical for many sit-down restaurants). I ordered a ribeye steak rare. The menu claimed "choice" beef. The steak was delivered medium. The beef tasted a bit gamey and was rather tough. The ribeye was thoroughly devoid of marbling though it did have a couple viens of gristle running through it. It was decidedly un-juicy. The steak was reminiscent of sirloin or round, not a juicy ribeye. I would expect this quality at a diner for about 1/2 the price paid at Outback. The sides are fine. The clam chowder is excellent. I would return but will never order steak there again.
