  Can't get past the bad service

  It's a disservice to the owner / chef to have such scattered waitstaff. This place had the worst service I've ever had at a local restaurant.
  
  The menu is ala carte and we can't say how some of the courses were because we never received them! Though we were assured they were off the bill, they weren't. One salad went back to the kitchen because it came out wrong, and it reappeared 45 minutes later after the rest of us had already finished ours.
  
  The server offered coffee / desert but never reappeared for us to order. The manager was rude and indifferent when we asked to speak with him. After we were told he couldn't speak with us because he was fileting a fish (?!#) he came out 20 minutes later. We are not the complaining types - I have never asked to see the manager at any restaurant - ever- or been incensed enough to write a review, but that's how bad it was!
  
  I would have liked to try some other dishes, but wouldn't think of returning.
