My in inlaws made a reservation here for their 50th anniversary. Was not very excited when my husband told me where we were going as I had been there two years earlier and found the food mediocre at best. Instead I was treated to a very unexpected experience. The food here is cutting edge and although I have been to all of Lexington's better restaurants, this really blew me away. I was happy to see things other than your regular steak and potatoe dinner you often encounter at these older, often formulaic establishments. The dining rooms are spledid and the atmosphere was perfect for a long dining experience. Portions are small, so don't expect to bring a doggy bag home, and prices are steep even by big city standards. But If you are paying for an experience I'd leave my money worries at home.
