My absolute FAVORITE Mexican Food and Service!
We absolutely LOVE the food and the service, have been going there for about 4 years. Corina is the best server ever and Popeye does a wonderful job in the bar. The chicken chimangas are my most favorite, though I've never had ANYTHING there I didn't completely love! Going tonight and hope Corina and Popeye are working!

Sep 27, 2007The Best Resturant Ever ... Mexican Food wise
I go to La Margarita every week, almost. The service is great, and the food even better! I usually get sour cream chicken enchiladas, they are the BEST! And I have learn that they are willing to change up the menu if you want something changed. So, if you want a different sauce, just ask. I have been going to La Margarita for years,and they have never let me down.

Sep 06, 2007A Hidden Treasure in Irving
You could miss this little restaurant tucked into a non-descript strip shopping center. They have two different hot sauces - one of them is a warm ranchero sauce, the other is a more traditional hot sauce - both are very good. They have some dishes that are on a gourmet level - I LOVE their salmon with hearts of palm cream sauce atop sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes! They're drinks are reasonably priced. Great service!

You could miss this little restaurant tucked into a very non-descript strip shopping center. Some of the entrees are on a gourmet level - I LOVE the grilled salmon with the hearts of palm cream sauce, with sauteed spinach atop garlic mashed potatoes - DELICIOUS! Great drinks which are cheaper than most restaurants these days. Great service!

Wonderful!!!
I am sad that the last reviewer had such a bad experience. I have been enjoying La Margarita for many years. I have seen it go from a little hole in the wall restaurant to an upscale dining experience. The food has not changed it taste
,thank goodness, but the presentation is beautiful and I have never once had bad service. My favorite dish is the Pulled Pork Relleno. Also make sure to get the Charro Beans or a bowl of their queso - both the best I have had. I beg the original reviewer to give the restaurant a second chance - I doubt you will regret it. -
Cold and slow
We were trying to relax and have a drink after work. The waiter did not write down our order and the food we received was completely wrong. When we complained, they brought us food that was obviously hours old and never came back to the table to follow up. Stay away.

Exquisite Mexican food!!!
I found out about La Margarita through a friend a few months ago and since then, I have visited the restaurant more than two dozen times. I usually dine in, but I've also taken my food to go. I usually order the chicken taco salad or the spinach enchiladas, but I've also tried the peyote, shrimp enchiladas, tortilla soup, charro beans, and fajitas and I must tell you, it's some of the best food I've ever had. The salsa, chips, and pico de gallo are always fresh and I can tell that my food is made to order, not just sitting around back waiting to be scooped out of some metal pan like it is a neighboring "competitors." The service is stellar every time I visit and as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for ten years, I know precisely what sets apart good service from poor. The music is festive and adds a great deal to the ambiance of the restaurant. My search for a reasonably priced, authentic Mexican food restaurant is over...La Margarita is top-notch. Be sure to enjoy a top shelf margarita while you are there!
