My husband and I had thought about trying Johnny Carino's, but were afraid we wouldn't be happy with it. When we finally tried it, we were surprised by the service and the food. Excellent waitress! We never had to wait for a drink refill and she seemed to anticipate our every need- even our child's needs were important to her! The food was wonderful ( crab ravioli) and the staff were all friendly and seemed eager to please. I plan to visit them again soon!
I suppose I should begin this restaurant review with a disclaimer. I have only been to Johhny Carino's once and on that occasion I got dumped by a former girlfriend. So, even if the food & service had been outstanding (which they were not), I probably still would have a bad memory associated with this place. But the fact is, the food was bland, our server appeared to be around 14 years old and the entire place reminded more of Chuck E. Cheese with the enormous volume of children screaming. I won't be going back. At least if I'm going to get dumped I would prever to have it occur along with a nice meal.
My freind and I used to go to Johnny Carino's at least once a week to eat lunch during the work week. We hadn't been in a while and after today will not be going back for a long time.
They must have a new cook or something, both of our lunches were on the spicey side and that is what we used to like about it before, it was not spicey. My food (spaghetti and meatballs) was cold. Our waitress did not offer grated parmesan either.
" We have eaten here several times and never had a bad meal... "
