Description: The story of Jalapeno Joes and the history of Joe and Norma Lozano in the restaurant business goes back 34 years and spans across two different states.

In 1972, the couple opened their first restaurant, Taco-Miendo, which was located at the corner of Somerset Road and Southwest Military Drive. Two years later, the couple moved to Iowa and opened the well-known Taco-Licious.

The highly popular Mexican food restaurant had a solid reputation and was known for its excellent service. During that time, the Lozano's raised four children, all of whom are successful.

It was in 1996 when the Lozano family returned to their roots in South Texas continuing their careers in the restaurant industry with two local franchises.

Now the Lozano family is back with one of the most exciting new restaurants in San Antonio: Jalapeno Joe's.

All of the Lozano family's hard work, experience and knowledge of food service is very evident as they work to make Jalapeno Joe's the finest Tex-Mex restaurant in the Greater San Antonio area.
