If you drive by, you'll think the place is a dump, based on the run-down exterior. But, walk in to find a unique place, with fish trophies on the walls, a fish tank with a frog, and nautical decor. The meal prices don't go with the out-of-the-way location, or the exterior. They are upscale prices, to go with the generous portions of fresh seafood. Figure $15-20 per entree, higher for lobster. We had the mahi mahi, and the rock shrimp (basically a FL only delicacy). Years ago rock shrimp were cheaper than shrimp, as there was no market. The state Ag people got involved, got the grocery stores to carry it, and it is now considered a premium item. Tastes a lot like lobster, but shrimp sized in a very hard shell. Excellent. The blackened, and the broiled mahi mahi were also very good, each a large portion. Add in salad and sides, and a very full meal.
Located WAY out of town, this place attracts the locals, as the tourists would never find it. If you want fresh seafood, this is the place. I guess we were figuring it would be cheaper, being so far out of town!
