My wife & I (I'm an expat Brit so I know pubs) popped in for a snack before going downtown to the art gallery. It was February and a very cold and windy day. We had a drink and a snack, went to the art gallery and decided to go back to the pub for an early dinner. The food was great. I had a curry and asked for it to be very spicy. It arrived just like that and was the best curry I've ever had in any pub anywhere. My wife had a salad and said that everything was extremely fresh and very good. The beer was also excellent, the landlord obviously keeps his lines very clean. I can recommend the Boddingtons there. The service was excellent and the chef, who I think owns the place, came out to talk to us and ask how our meal was. All in all a five star pub rating for the Horse and Jockey. We hope to see you soon.
