  Filthy Dirty Oysters in the Shell

  I had never been to this restaurant and only went there because Red Lobster was packed. I went to Hooters and ordered a half bucket of oysters in the shell. The waitress was nice, but the oysters she brought me were filthy dirty. I tried wiping them clean as best as I could with the cloth napkin, but not only were they filthy dirty, but all of them except three out of about fifteen were clamped shut and I remembered something about not eating oysters that had not partially opened. I had the waitress get the manager and I did expect him to waive the tab because I had only eaten two or three of them and I was not sure if I was going to get sick or not. I asked him why the oysters were so dirty and he said that was how they got them and I said just because you get them dirty does not mean you cannot clean them. Well I have contacted the local health authority and the BBB. I am considering hiring a lawyer depending upon the City of Columbus Health Department review of their oysters. I would never go to another Hooters again!
