We stayed in St. Ignace for two days and decided to try The Galley one night and went around 5p when they weren't really busy.
Upon walking in, I thought the restaurant, overall, seemed to be "dark". Not really dark as in "NO LIGHT", but dark wood paneling, tables, etc. Not really bright. We were seated up against a window that overlooked the lake (somewhat).
We were promptly seated and the server was attentive, for the most part, however ,I guess I wasn't impressed. They were a little pricey for what you got. I had a salad that really could've been larger for the price. My husband had fish and chips and again, for the price, I guess I might've expected a little more, but it wasn't BAD food....but it was nothing extraordinary.
The bar was secluded from where where we were sitting, which was a bonus.
Overall, I guess the restaurant area was clean, but there were some flies flying around and I constantly was watching to make sure they weren't landing on my food nor my daughter's.
I believe there are better options in St. Ignace than The Galley.
