Description: Figaro Ristorante, located in the heart of North Beach, has been serving authentic Italian cuisine in San Francisco for over 10 years. Figaro is sophisticated yet still retains the casual and cozy ambiance of a friendly neighborhood bistro. The menu includes homemade gnocchi, ravioli and tortellini, as well as thin-crust pizzas, fresh seafood and filet mignon. Enjoy this dining experience inside or outside as you people watch from the sidewalk seating available on Columbus Ave. or dine in our beautiful dining room that features a breath taking frescoed ceiling from the early 1910's. Additionally, Figaro has a back garden patio featuring a mural of the hills of Assisi, Italy. The patio is covered, heated, and available for private events up to 80 people. Ciao e a presto!

We were not happy with our experience. The food was good, but it wasn't exquisite. I had the salsa rosa gnocchi and my friend from out of town had basil gnocchi. We also ordered wine and a few desserts to try out. What I was most unpleased about was the service. The server rushed us through our meal. After I sat down she immediately asked if we were ready. The same thing happened as soon as we got the dessert menu. She then came to see if we were ready with the bill, before we had looked at it. And about 20 minutes after having paid the bill, she kicked us out! She literally said that she didn't want to be rude, but she needed the table. The whole meal felt rushed and quite frankly, ruined the experience. The ambience was okay. I liked the large scale paintings inside and the outdoor dining, but the staff kept messing around with the lighting and music volume the entire hour and a half we were there. It was rather distracting and unprofessional.
