If you are looking for a way to splurge on your diet, this place will definitely do the trick. Do not go to the buffet. Dining in or carry out the food is awesome and the mild salsa is the best in the world and thats a lot of the reason why I go there.
I and my family went to famous taco on Sunday Feb 15th. (Cedar street) We got there around 3:07pm. The buffet runs until 5pm. So the sign says. The food was old and burnt to the pans. The warmers were way to hot, my son almost got burned looking at the food. I ask the waitress and the person at the countner if there would be fresh food. Both of them said yes. We ate the chips and salsa waiting for food. They bought out a few new things. There were others also waiting so food went fast. So we still did'nt get much. My hubby tried a few things and said it was old and gross. My son who is 6 yrs old ate one thing and started waiting and waitng. We ask two times about cheese ench. It took 40 mins. for them to get them on the line. By then I was already in line. I had a coupon for 4 dollars and the tax off and thats all he was going to do for me. I said I don't think so. I was willing to pay $10.00 for the food we ate. He said no! Now u can pay the full price. He threatened to call the police on me, so I said go ahead. The police came and said that is not up to them. Its the restuarant and the consumer. I told the cop that the restuarant could take me to court. So he took my name and number and address and my hubby was taking pictures for proof and one of the cops said we had to leave. So i said we are taking picutres and then we left.
" this is a nice place if you like mexican food... "
