  from LA to Cleveland, El Tajavan on Grand in Amarillo is the bext Mexican food you can get outside a home-cooked meal (and better than most of those!)

  I have been going to El Tejavan since it first opened up - I can make Mexican food at home and do not enjoy eating at any mexican rest. but this is one place that I love to go - you always have your favorite rest. and this is one of mine - when my brother comes to visit from NC, we already know that we shall all met at the Tejavan - not just for the food, but for the service. Of course I also enjoy the owners very much and I am so happy that they have two places - even though my favorite is the one on Grand - Good luck and God Bless

  Driving from Lubbock to Tulsa, my husband and I happened into this place. Wonderful meal...WONDERFUL!! We made it a point to return there on our trip back home. The atmosphere is delightful, the food is beyond compare, the service is the best. I have already recommended El Tejavan to many. We will definitely eat there again, and again. I wish they would expand and open a restaurant here in Lubbock. We have friends who pass through Amarillo often on business, and I intend to ask them to "bring me home some of that wonderful food."
  I teach Spanish, and have spent time in Mexico, not just border, but central Mexico. Their food is so authentic. If in Amarillo, I highly recommend El Tejavan. You will NOT regret it!!

  I ate at El Tejavan in Amarillo last night, and the experience was incredible!! The best mexican food anywhere, absolutely NO tex-Mex!! Very Authentic! Please check it out!
