  Cleanliness not an issue for the manager

  My husband and I have eating at this establishment several times. Tonight the pizza was only "so-so". Perhaps it tasted that way do to the uncleanliness of the dining room. Let me explain.
  With the economy down, people eat out less and the competition is fierce between eateries. I thought that if I politely mentioned to the manager and pointed out the trouble areas to him from a patrons standpoint from where I was sitting, he might appreciate the heads-up. Clearly I was mistaken. I asked the waitress if I might speak with him. She offered to get him. About 10 min later he appeared at our table. I asked him to sit down next to me so that he could see it from the customer's view. I asked his name and he said it was Brent. I told him that I thought he might be interested in what I was looking at throughout my dinner. I said, "Look to your right. Do you see the dust bunnies hanging off the stonework next to my husband?"(he said yes) "Now look at the countertop next to my husband with the dried bits of food and bread." (he was able to see this too) "Now follow the counter all the way down as it is clearly covered in dirt." (yes he said, I see it), "Now, look above at the huge light fixture. Do you see all the dust and dirt just hanging from it?" That is when he informed me they have a cleaning crew that comes in on Saturdays that cleans. Now, he was nor required to receive what I was saying to him, BUT he clicked his pen the entire time I was speaking to him. Mmm. Sounds more like he was irritated with me. Silly me. Having previously been in food management, I assumed he would of appreciated the head up. Apparently not. I ask you this~ If the dining area looks unkept, what do you think the kitchen looks like? Don't worry! They have a crew that comes in on Saturday to clean.

  What a great place at a great price! Love those garlic rolls! The Vickie's Special was fabulous, and the Canoli was too.
