The food wasn't anything spectacular. We found the same salmon packaged at Trader Joe's. The dessert had a large sharp, plsstic piece from the container. Luckily it didn't cut or wasn't swallowed. None of the servers seemed to be bothered by this incident, as if it occurred occassionally. None of us will return to this restaurant.
My wife and I visited for our anniversary. We both thought the food was very good. Like a prior reviewer, I ordered the Veal Saltinbocca--but I very much enjoyed it.
The ambiance inside the restaurant is nice. Italian music plays in the background, bottles of wine are on display, and an attract bar is visible.
The restaurant is fairly expensive--we spent over $60 (before tip) for two dinners and two glasses of wine. However, we did not order the least expensive meals or wine.
I am a nitpicker. For example, I noticed that part of an artificial sugar packet was on the floor under my chair upon arrival. My wife made a special request for her salad dressing, which was honored, although the waitress had to go back to get it after bringing out the salads, and then still had to be reminded to bring the oil in addition to the vinegar. The biggest gaffe, probably because this is a pet peeve of mine, is that the entrees were brought out while our salad/soup plates were still on the table, and the waitress made us move the old plates for her. A classy restaurant should not do that.
So, I dwelled on the negative. You can see by my star rating that I liked the restaurant--we will go back.
The food and ambience are great...however the service leaves a lot to be desired. Could have overlooked any one of these,, maybe even two...BUT too many errors to forgive. Five minutes after placed oor orders waitress comes back and asks if I ordered Veal Marsala...told her no, Veal Picatta. Then they were out of the wine we ordered. Then they brought the wrong appetizer (we ordered deep fried prawns she brought prawn cocktail). While we were waiting for our correct appetizer waitress brought our salads...I commented to her on why she was serving them before our appetizer....said they had to cook appetizer. Entrees went off without a hitch. Dessert we ordered 2 Chocolate Cakes and 1 Tiramisu. Cake and Tiramisu were plated exactly the same instead of making them unique to each. Also, only brought 1 cake had to ask again for second cake. Ordered 2 Remy Martins, warmed....they served them in Old Fashion glasses instead of Snifters.
The restaurant is very pretty, nice atmosphere, clean bathrooms. The service is erratic, but most likely because they have just opened. The food is average- nothing spectacular. I had the Veal Saltinbocca and my husband had some sort of pasta. For the so-so quality of food it is GROSSLY overpriced.
