This restaurant is over 100 years old and has no lack of business, even on a slow Tuesday night in St. Armand's Circle. Unfortunately, years of success have apparently gone to their head. While our server was amiable at first, everyone else was extremely rude to deal with. The snotty maitre d', who was half our age, gave us a great deal of attitude when we asked if we were too late for dining. What amazes me is why the owner, or manager, standing right beside her, said absolutely nothing to this. My dinner order contained mushrooms which I asked to omit. Someone got it wrong and that was the end of our waitress's friendliness. There are fine restaurants in St. Armand's Circle and around Sarasota. I would avoid Columbia's and try a lesser known, but higher quality experience elsewhere.
