Description: It's the new Cha Da Thai and Japanese, where sisters Janet and Julie Suk - with help from their mother, Rattana - bring to Pasadena a restaurant that bears a striking resemblance to ones you'd find today on the streets of Bangkok. In fact, all that's missing are dancers in bright silk and overhead fans.

If not for Cha Da's modern decor, a fan would be batting around the aromatic breezes of traditional Thailand hotties like red, green and yellow chiles, lemon grass, coriander, garlic and hot, ginger-peppery galangal.
