With locations all across the country, Buca di Beppo is a very unique restaurant with true italian flare from the food to the atmosphere to the hospitality. Their first restaurant was opened in the basement of an apartment building in minneapolis in 1993. They currently have 93 locations in 26 states, with 3 locations in our very own state of Indiana. It is a favorite with my family, whether we are celebrating with friends or simply dining out alone. We have introduced it to several of our friends, also.
In the spirit of italian tradition, the food is served in family sized portions, meant to be shared by all. Family and friends gather to enjoy the italian dishes, as they pass around a platter that is visually appealing, as well as having a mouth-watering aroma.
Our favorite of the authentic italian baked pastas on the menu is listed as 'Quattro Al Forno'. Cheese Manicotti, Chicken Cannelloni, Stuffed Shells and Ravioli make up this entree with generous servings of each. They offer two original sizes to chose from, along with a new Buca Mio made as a single serving. Buca Small serves two or more and Buca Large serves four or more, which is perfect size for my family.
Beginning with a cordial reception, guests are led through the kitchen to be seated in one of the many side rooms. The atmosphere is quaint and very welcoming, with nostalgic framed photographs covering the walls. The pleasant environment is almost as enticing as their entrees.
Everything on their menu can be ordered to go and they also have banquet packages for parties over 20. Their website provides an online reservation form to ensure availability and preparations are made before your arrival.
It is truly a complete experience that encompasses delicious food, a very friendly staff and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. If you haven't been there, I would encourage you to visit at least once. It's sure to become one of your favorite places, too.
" Hugely and passionately in love with italy and all things italian... "
