Stopped in the latest incarnation of a restaurant in the Stutz building on Friday, just in time for a pretty decent cod sandwich. It arrived quickly and hot, along with French fries which are certainly a step up from the stale chips the previous folks served. My girlfriend ordered a "Bearcats Burger" double, which was more than enough and for only six bucks came with fries, slaw and a pickle, too. Maybe all the sandwiches come that way. The fish sandwich was delicious and I hope they keep it on the menu, at least Fridays. There's a neat fireplace area that wasn't there before next to an enormous television. We couldn't get a beer because they don't have a license yet. Middle of November we were told.
Really a good, quick lunch and not too expensive, either. (Apparently rents are higher ON the canal, if you know what I mean.) There are old-fashioned booths in the hallway next to an old car, which I guess would be neat for kids.
We're taking her parents there next week, will update review if there's a change.
