Service and Atmosphere was absolutely great. Grouper was overcooked and the cream cheese was out of place on a plate with fish. Last time my pork was not medium rare, but actually raw. Also, on two occassions my food has come out 6-10 minutes before my wife's. Would be a great place for Greensboro if they would just focus a little more on the actual cooking of the food. I don't mind paying, but I would like it cooked correctly.
This is our favorite restaurant in the Triad area. The service and food are like non-other locally. Food is presented in the most interesting ways, the flavors and foods are combined in a delightful manner, excellent wine list, desserts a must have, unique dining. Wait staff are professional, unobtrusive, yet very friendly. Always appear when you need them.
1618 West has been a delightful experience, each and every time I've dined there. From a nice evening hang on the patio to a fun evening in the bar area or a long night in the dining room, it has been anything other than ordinary. With knowledgable staff, food presentation and taste that is second to none and the fun discovery that this well done establishment was once a fire station, it is sure to add something special to any and all ocassions, even if only an evening out for fantastic food.
